THE Treasury released K15.8 billion to finance public service delivery in the month of May, Finance and National Planning Minister Situmbeko Musokotwane has said.
Dr Musokotwane said of the total expenditure, K1.8 billion went to transfers, subsidies and social benefits, K1.9 billion to the implementation of various developmental programmes and general operations.
In a statement yesterday, he said K1.3 billion was spent on capital expenditure, K5.3 billion for the public service wage bill and K5.5 billion was spent on domestic and external debt service and arrears.
