THE Government places health and education at the centre of its development agenda as seen through the implementation of the free education policy, Ministry of Education Permanent Secretary Kelvin Mambwe has said.
Dr Mambwe said the Government recognised that the education system provided an unparalleled platform for reaching children and investing in health.
He said investing in children’s health could lead to increased rates in enrolment, retention, progression, reduced absenteeism and improved health and nutrition related outcomes.
