THE Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency (ZAMMSA) has commenced the nationwide distribution of 70 anaesthetic ventilator machines to 68 hospitals nationwide.
ZAMMSA senior manager -corporate communications Bradley Chingobe said the programme was in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
Mr Chingobe said the state-of-the-art anaesthetic ventilator machines will help strengthen surgical care and enhance patient safety in hospitals across the country.
