Senseli Mine remains closed – Govt

THE Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development has dismissed reports that it has authorised mining activities at Senseli Mine in Chingola, on the Copperbelt.
Mines Minister Paul Kabuswe said Senseli Mine remained a private operation, and that the Government was engaging with its owners to ensure that all activities were formalised in accordance with mining regulations.
This is according to a statement issued by Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development principal public relations officer Shamwinda Tembo yesterday.
