PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has officially announced the end of the period of National Mourning declared in honour of his predecessor late President Edgar Lungu, who died in South Africa on June 5, 2025, at the age of 68. President Hichilema said given the protracted delays for the repatriation, the period of mourning ended yesterday to allow the country to begin to return to normalcy.
