THE dewatering of 28 shaft CNMC Luanshya Copper Mines (CLM) is ahead of schedule with more than 28 million cubic meters so far being pumped out.
CLM Chief Executive Officer Wang Jingjun said this was helping to address water challenges in Luanshya as it was pumped direct to the Kafubu Water and Sanitation Company intake pump on Kafubu River.
Mr Wang said the water level in the shaft had dropped by 230 meters.
