PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema says sport continues to thrive in Zambia because of the deliberate policy taken to make sports opportunities available to all in line with the late Kenneth Kaunda’s passion.
He expressed happiness that Kaunda used sports as a unifying and health-promoting activity and that it was why the current government took it seriously upon itself to create opportunities for all to participate in sports.
President Hichilema said sports had continued to thrive because of such a policy as evident from the performance of the women’s national teams.
