FIVE political parties including the United Party for National Development (UPND) and the Tonse Alliance represented by the New Congress Party (NCP) successfully filed their nominations to contest in the Kawambwa Central Parliamentary by-election.
The other parties that would contest in the by-election set for December 20 were the Socialist Party (SP), United Party for a Prosperous Zambia (UPPZ) and the Movement for Change and Equality (MCE).
