THE Constitutional Court (ConCourt) has ruled that former President Edgar Lungu is not eligible to contest the 2026 or any future Presidential elections because the Constitution bars him from doing so.
A panel of seven ConCourt judges said in its judgment yesterday that Mr Lungu did not qualify to contest the elections because he had already been elected twice and served two terms of office as President.
