PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema says he is saddened that public and private universities in Zambia are working in silos.
The President said he expected universities to become catalysts for innovation, economic diversification, and social progress.
Mr Hichilema also said his desire was to see two or more local universities undertake a joint study or research and the findings being shared to the public together.
