Army bus, public transport bus collision: 1 Dead, many injured

A DRIVER has died while seven Zambia Army officers and 15 passengers are nursing serious injuries in hospital after a military bus collided with a public transport bus along the Kabwe-Ndola road.
Copperbelt police Commissioner Pathius Siandenge confirmed that Kafulafuta traffic police received a report of the fatal road traffic accident which occurred yesterday at 01:30 hours near the Mishikishi area.
The accident occurred when the army bus, traveling from Kapiri Mposhi to Ndola, attempted an improper overtaking maneuver on a curve, resulting in a head-on collision with the oncoming Rosa bus traveling in the opposite direction.
