TWO Tanzania Zambia Railways (TAZARA) locomotive drivers travelling from Zambia to Tanzania have died in a fatal accident in Mbozi District of Songwe Region in Tanzania.
TAZARA head of public relations Conrad Simuchile said in a Press statement that the accident happened around 03:00 hours yesterday at Bridge Number 262, located at kilometre 885+500 in Mbozi.
Mr Simuchile said the two locomotives were from Zambia’s Chozi area and were being taken to the Mbeya workshop in Tanzania for repairs when they derailed and capsized at the bridge.
