THE Zambia Army and Zambia Police Service officers in the early hours of Saturday apprehended 18 gang members popularly known as “Zali”, with the youngest aged 12, who were clad in camouflage military attire.
The gang members have been terrorising residents of Mufulira for a while now.
Copperbelt police Commissioner Pathias Siandenge confirmed the development yesterday.
Mr Siandenge said that during the joint operation, 18 members of the gang group were rounded up at Rugby Club in Mufulira while watching musician Yo Maps who was performing there.
