THE emergency tariff adjustment which was announced three weeks ago will become effective today, Zesco spokesperson Matongo Maumbi has said.
The new tariffs entail that residential customers would enjoy a tariff reduction of up to 20 per cent which affected over 537,000 households.
“This measure is aimed at maintaining the lifeline tariff and cushioning low income households. This reduction will help residential customers to maintain access to affordable electricity,” Mr Maumbi said.
