ZAMBIA is poised to become a major food basket in the region, India’s State for External Affairs Minister, Kirti Vardhan Singh has said.
Mr Singh said this was due to various strategic policies and legal reforms being implemented by the Zambian Government to transform the agriculture sector.
He noted that the Government was in the process of implementing policy and legal reforms that would transform the agriculture sector to become one of the major food baskets in the region.
