AIRTEL Africa customer base has grown by 6.1 percent to 156.6 million with data customer penetration continuing to rise.
The company has recorded a 10.4 percent increase in data customers to 66.0 million with usage per customer increasing by 30.9 percent to 6.6 GBs.
According to the financial results for the half year ended September 30, this year, the smartphone penetration increased to 5.3 percent to reach 42.2 percent.
