Occupational health, safety key to workers – Tambatamba

THE Government has said that optimal occupational health and safety standards for the Zambian workforce is important for the country to achieve its social and economic development transformation, as well as objectives.
Labour and Social Security Minister Brenda Tambatamba said healthy and safe workplaces offered numerous undeniable economic benefits that could drive the country’s social and economic development.
Ms Tambatamba said this in a speech delivered on her behalf by Director National Productivity Development Cyprian Muyamba during the Afrisafe free empowerment programme in Lusaka yesterday.
