ZAMBIA’S star runner Muzala Samukonga finished fourth in the 400m dash at the Miami Grand Slam Track in the early hours of yesterday morning but importantly registered his season best time.
Going into the race hours after setting a new personal best in the 200m race, Muzala had work cut out in the 400m race which had an Olympic gold medallist and a former world champion.
Muzala timed 44.56 seconds to miss the podium by milliseconds but he will be comforted to hear that it was the fastest 400m race seen this year.
