INDIA has pledged to offer Zambia with 100 solar powered irrigation pumps to increase cooperation in the small scale irrigation area through private sector initiatives as well as the agriculture and agro-processing sectors.
The Indian government has also called for an early conclusion of the tripartite agreement between Zambia, National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) and International Solar Alliance (ISA) for the 400 Megawatts (MW)
solar project.
