THE Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) is targeting to create at least 40,000 new jobs through various initiatives including collaboration with the private sector.
IDC Chief Executive Officer Cornwell Muleya said this was as promulgated in the institution’s new 10 year business plan which contained several pillars on investment and recapitalisation of State Owned Enterprises (SOEs).
Mr Muleya said the Indeni Energy Company in Ndola on the Copperbelt, would be transformed into a national Oil Marketing Company (OMC) and involved in the strategic purchase of commodities for both industry and domestic use.
