Court rejects Tasila’s appeal

THE Economic and Financial Crimes Court (EFCC) has dismissed an application by Chawama Member of Parliament (MP) Tasila Lungu to appeal against its judgment to forfeit to State her farm in Sinda District of Eastern Province.
In a ruling delivered by EFCC judges Susan Wanjelani sitting with Pixie Yangailo and Vincent Siloka, the application to appeal was denied because Tasila had not provided compelling reasons or special circumstances for the court to allow her application.
