Copper Queens gears up for Banyana Banyana thriller

The Zambia Women’s National Team, affectionately known as the Copper Queens, wrapped up their final training session ahead of their highly anticipated FIFA international friendly against South Africa.

The training took place at the Lucas “Masterpieces” Moripe Stadium on Monday afternoon, where the team will face off against Banyana Banyana on Tuesday.

Under the guidance of Coach Nora Häuptle, the Copper Queens focused on fine-tuning their tactics and physical preparations in the one-hour session.

With a trophy on the line for the winner of the three-nation series, the team is determined to make a strong impression and claim the silverware.

The stakes are high, with both teams seeking to end the series on a high note.

The Copper Queens were held to a 1-1 draw by Botswana in their previous match, while Banyana Banyana edged Botswana 3-2 in the opening match of the series.

A win for Zambia would not only secure a positive outcome but also boost their confidence ahead of the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in July.

The match will kick off at 15h00 on Tuesday and will be broadcast live on ZNBC TV 3 (TopStar) and SABC Sport.

With the Copper Queens looking to make their mark, the stage is set for an exciting encounter that promises to be thrilling for fans
