CHINA Nonferrous Metal Mining Company (CNMC) has committed to expanding its investment in Zambia to approximately US$1.6 billion.
Among the additional investment pledges was $200 million in the development of Sino Metals’ Samba Mine.
CNMC had attracted overall investment of about $100 million in the Lusaka sub-zone of the Zambia– China Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone through two industry-related equipment plants that have shown strong interest to set base there, targeting to create about 5, 000 job opportunities for local people.
