COPPERBELT Energy Corporation (CEC) chief financial officer Mutale Mukuka says the company has heightened power
expansion projects to meet the expected power demand in tandem with upcoming mining projects on the Copperbelt.
KoBold Metals is earmarked to start shaft sinking at Mingomba Mine and Lubambe Mine in Chililabombwe, while
Luanshya Copper Mine is also expected to start shaft sinking as the pumping of water is nearing completion, which Mr Mukuka said would push power demand up.
